MANZANILLO OLIVE TREE

The Manzanillo tree is one of Spain’s finest varieties,
as well as the most well-known and widely used olive variety
in the world. The Manzanillo olive is commercially grown
in California primarily as a table olive, but is also highly
prized for its oil.

Our trees are grown from cuttings in a greenhouse, then
transferred to pots until fully grown, at which time they
are ready for orchard planting. The trees we sell have been
topped for shipping, and measure approximately
14" to 16" (including container).

Olive trees need full sun and do well in areas with hot dry summers. They also do well in temperate coastal areas. The trees will not tolerate temperatures lower than 15°F.

Olive trees prefer deep rich soil, but will tolerate a variety of soils, including alkaline and rocky soils. They are drought resistant once established, but do need regular, moderate irrigation.
